About three months ago I decided to embark on a journey that would test my life as I knew it. I decided to pick up my life, school, and the things I love- put them in a bag and move to Italy for the semester. Continuing with school- I wanted to learn a new way of living, experience something new, different and unexplainable at times. Life over in Italy- much different then what I have been used to. The fast pace movements of living in the states, the hustle and bustle. There is none of that here. Life is simply life. I know thats hard to believe, but some things here are just easier. The point of living life is living it to the fullest. So each day when I step out side on the cobble stone roads of Italy, I think to myself today is today its not tomorrow nor yesterday. We tend to rush things in the states because we are people that need to feel a sense of completion. But think about it- It will be there in the morning. Don’t get me wrong- the things that you want out of life you need to grab them while you still can, but don’t let the day pass you by without looking up and seeing whats in front of you. Do as the Italians do- drink your expresso, laugh out loud and smile daily. Life is to live so enjoy it!

Life….Can you figure it out?

Each day you encounter something new, something that seems to be an “ah ha” moment. As the moments pass we wonder about all the crazy things that are happening in our lives. Who has a broken heart, why people make the decisions that they do and what makes your day- a day different from every other. Its like we live though life without actually being able to figure it out. We try so hard to figure out the questions that we have no idea the answer to. So why do we bother asking the question that we know we could possibly never find the answer to? I think because we are trying to find the ultimate answer for ourselves. Only we know the answer to the mysterious questions about life that we ask and when we finally come to the answer most of the time its the answer we knew in our minds but just never wanted to hear it out loud, or simply the answer that we found but never knew we were looking for. In life we deal with love, heartbreak, laughter, tears, joy and disappointment. Yet we still try and search for the unanswerable questions that seem to make life more worth wild. Instead of asking the questions, look for the answers to the questions that we can only think about. Lets not worry about trying to figure out life, but instead look ahead with what you already know and let the “ah ha” moment seek you- instead of you seeking it. Learn to live, as it should in it raw form, go with the flow and be spontaneous. Life is a mystery- and thats the beauty of it. Enjoy it.

In life there are so many different things that come about- both good and bad. But how do you know when it is time to let go? Life is full of oppoortunities and chance but what will you do to keep them? You need to live life, learn and love. You will get many chances but when it comes to getting what you want– you need never to let go. But how do you know when enough is enough? When it comes to your heart only you can decide that. If you know love someone and no matter what happens the love will still be there. Love is like chasing dreams, you need to know when to let go. Just know if something is there and you think about it constantly, no matter how hard you try to get it off your mind, then there is something special and you need to chase after it. Life is short, so live each day with knowing tomorrow is not promised to anyone. So leave each person you come face to face with with the lasting impression of being happy. Life is too short to have enimies. Live, Love, and Learn. For tomorrow is only a wish we all want granted.

As this is my last blog, I was just wondering about what you have got out of the good life. Has it been that you need to open your eyes and understand the things around you. Life is a very precious thing and everyone just gets one chance to live their live to the fullest. The Good Life is many different to people and their are many different factors the go into the my views of the good life as well as yours. The good life to me is for this Holiday Season to give some on the gift of having that chance of having a good holiday season and the chance of starting over. As the New Year approaches it is the time for anyone to make it a new start. A new year, a new goal to set. Life is good, just only you can make it better. Only you can have the chance of changing your life. Life is precious and delicate and you only get one shot. One shot to live it well, so stop sitting around waiting for tomorrow saying it will do it the tomorrow. Today is the Tomorrow we worried about Yesterday. So make something of your life today. And as long as your making something of your life today, help someone out who is trying to make their life better. Live for today, because tomorrow is never guaranteed. Everyone have a Happy Holiday Season and a Happy New Year.

As the Holiday season approaches, instead of making your Christmas list, why don’t you help to make someone who is less fortunate. As my friends and myself were talking about the Christmas season we have decided to some sort of community service to make some one else have a special holiday. But you ask how does this tie into the good life? For me, the good life is not always about me. Making me happy is helping some one is need. The holiday season is about celebrating with family and friends, having some fun and sharing memories. But I cant have a good time knowing that there is people out there, who will have nothing for the holiday season. My good life, is reaching out a hand, to help those in need. I want to make some ones holidays just as special as mine. My idea of the good life isn’t about making my life the good life, but helping some one in need to help give them a good life and a good holiday season. So if there is one thing I ask, is to also help make some one’s holiday season, trust me it will make your “good life” that much better. Its about celebrating the good life and the holiday season, so why not put a smile on someone else’s face as well.

Normal or Not?

What is technically the norm? Is anyone actually normal in this world. If everyone is different then what is normal? Is normal even something that we can even live up to?

Normal-conforming with or constituting an accepted standard, model, or pattern;

That is the definition of being “normal”. If the world and is always tellig us to be different and pave our own way, then how is it that we are suppose to be classified as normal? Look at your self, are you normal? Our society is always pushing us to be an individual, but at the same time to be normal. Well if normal is following a pattern then that is not being your own person and creating your own.

How can anyone just be normal. In today society, their are so many different kinds of people, religions, cultures, languages, food, and ways of living. If there are so many different aspects in life, then how is someone or something normal. How can anyone critique what is and is not normal. Just like the good life, everyone has their own view on what being normal is to them. They could be normal in their own way, but thats it, no one is normal, because if we all were then, we would all look a like, live the same life style and think the same. But we don’t. Because in the end, we don’ all think alike, we all don’t share the same view, we don’t all have the same talent, or think that committing a crime is right. Nothing is this world is normal, and if you can look your self in the mirror and say that your perfect in every way, and are normal, then that is one less person who is trying to be different.

Money Doesn’t Make you Rich?

Does money really make you rich? Lets think about this, how many people in this world have huge amounts of money but are not really happy? It doesn’t make a difference on the dollar amount that stands in your back account but it is the happiness that lies in your heart. There are people in this world who are not rich, who do not have ten cars, six houses, and their own personal chief, who are just as happy and in love with life. There is nothing better in this life than a rich soul. Don’t life your live thinking that the only way to true happiness is through money. Because like everyone has ever said ” money can’t by you happiness”. For some people money is their escape. When they feel down or out of luck, they just go out and by a new house and everything is all better. But that is not making their problem any better it is just their way of not facing the problem and just covering it up. Money is not happiness and in some cases, it tears people apart.

Well need to look at the people who have nothing but are still holding their heads up high, verses the people who have so much money and are unhappy in life. I believe that money is the like the devil. The more of it you have, the more miserable and unhappy you can be. So in the end, money can not make you rich, only materialistically. It’s the richness lies with you, and only you have that ability to make your life, a life of love, laughs and good times. Because in the end people don’t remember you by the amount of money in your wallet but for all the smiles you brought to one’s face by living a “rich” life.

Beggar’s can’t be Choosers?

Ever think that everything you do happens for a reason? You are put where you are for a hidden reason. All beggar’s cant be choosers. You need to live your live based on what you are given. Everything that you earn, everything that you get in life is for a reason. Whether it is to make you a better person, or throw you some obstacles it will only make you better in the end. Everything is meant to be. Like love, once you find that one person, that makes you feel good about everything including your self, and makes you feel like you can get through anything together. Everyone thinks they are meant to be. If they were put into your life, then there is something there between two people. People think they are not meant to be when they give up trying. Life is everything, it is opening doors and closing other’s. You cant beg for something and when it comes along not be satisfied with it. You need to take what you get, but you can have an affect on the things you get by working hard. Everything is meant to be in life. You can not have your cake and eat it too. Your life was meant to be. Do something with it. When you are given an chance to do something you given that chance for a reason so act upon it, it could bring you something great.

Life is a promise; fulfill it.

Life is meant to be…. SO LIVE IT!!!!

Are You Living Life in Regret?

” Don’t ever regret something that once made you happy”. Is there a time in your life that when after you made the choice you did you wish you could go back and change it? But what if at that time that choice made you happy? You cant move to the past and change everything that you now regret. Your paving the rest of your life. Even though the choices that you have made in the past are showing up once again are they all that bad. Just look around at people. For example people who are divorced and have children. They may regret getting married but yet then that would have not brought their kids into the picture which makes them happy. Or a break-up. Yes you were happy but you can’t regret it once your heart is broken you need to look at the positive part of life, what you got out of it instead of what your left with. A broken heart can be healed it might take time but it can. Memories last forever so you can not regret them. Life is all about taking chances and diving in. You need to dive in. If it doesn’t turn out right in the future doesn’t mean you should regret doing it. What makes you happy at that moment is all that counts.

You cant live your life in regret. You did it at that point it was the best decision now you have the rest of your life to go on. You cant live in regret because then there is no chance for the future to hold something great if later on your only going to regret it. Put a smile on and keep heading on the path that your going. Life is full of surprises smile and don’t regret.

Ice Cream?

Today I looked back at one of the things my friend always used to tell me and it came in handy.

“ Life is like Ice Cream, there are so many flavors to choose from there are some your not going to like, doesn’t mean you should give up on tasting all the flavors.”

That is so true about life today. Everything that happens, happens for a reason right. Not like your always going to like that reason or why it happened, doesn’t mean you should stop your life. Every life if worth living no matter the bumps in the road you encounter. There is always a way over them if you are just positive.

If you understand your own potential and your own abilities than you can make a better world. Your positive attitudes can become an inspiration to others to set a standing point. You need to look high and always remember the good thing and not the bad. Have some faith in your self.

You have to have faith, you have to have something to wake up each morning to, to look for the best. Only you can choose what to believe in, so don’t always think of the worst. Life is changing and if you only look at the bad flavors of ice cream then you are missing out on all the good one. Open your eyes and see don’t just look, because before you know it things will pass you by and there is not a way to get time back. Live each day with a positive attitude and something good will come out of it.
